The St. Petersburg Chamber Choir has worked with Russian musical figures as impressive and influential as conductor Valery Gergiev and Kirov soprano star Olga Borodina. Now it’s touring with Siberian-born superstar baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky, a sensation in his solo recital appearance here earlier this year. Conductor Nikolai Korniev leads the choir in a program of sacred works by Rachmaninov (selections from All-Night Vigil and Liturgy of St. John Chrisostom), Tolstiakov, Strumsky, Arkhangelsky, and others.
