I read with some relish (though not total, I’m sorry to say, because of your reporter’s nauseating smugness) your article on “Pompous” Aubry Davis (“Around Town With Mr. Know-It-All,” 11/15), as he is known at my house. What an insufferable individual! He’s Margaret Dumont, but he’s in great need of a Groucho Marx to keep him tolerable, or at least make him funny.
