It was disheartening to see Eddie Dean so cowed by someone like Robert Aubry Davis (“Around Town With Mr. Know-It-All,” 11/15). I’m sure his take on Mr. Know-It-All would have been quite different if he had been watching a recent Channel 26 beg-a-thon during which Davis so casually gave new life to the lame old myth that Otis Redding wrote “Satisfaction.”
In the article, Dean asks, “Where the hell does [Davis] get this stuff?” The real question is, how much of it is true?
