After two renovations, two moves, and rumors of its impending doom, Go! Compact Discs is finally calling it quits. That’s sad news for the District’s popsters, considering that the store run by Jimmy Cohrssen (who also shot the photo on this page) was the best indie shop in town. Everything must go, including some 300 paintings by Pavement cover artist Stephen Keene made specifically for the occasion. The “Go! Closing Party” will also feature performances by Mark Robinson and Phil Krauth, and a disco throw-down spun by Stella Neptune. At 8:30 p.m. at the Black Cat, 1831 14th St. NW. $6. (202) 667-7960.
