MARCH 13 & 14

This is the 16th year for this New Jersey festival, named for Thomas Edison’s pioneering West Orange film studio, and as usual founding director John Columbus has brought the fest’s highlights to the Hirshhorn. Top-billed this year is Frabrinne Rousso-Lenoir’s Zahor (pictured), a poetic view of Jewish life in Germany before the Nazis. That film will be shown Thursday; the two nights’ programs will not overlap. At 8 p.m. at the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden’s Ring Auditorium, 7th & Independence Ave. SW. FREE. (202) 357-2700.
