In contrast, I have no idea why trees died for Cathy Alter’s Ugly American tirade about wedding apparel (“Wedded Dis,” same issue). The style seemed more appropriate for a personal ad (“5-11, size 6

low-maintenance, proportionally sized SWG. Those with entanglements need not apply”). One hopes for the best for Ms. Alter and her intended, as well as for her prospective husband.
