Two-time National Book Award finalist Stephen Dixon’s latest book is a “novel in two novels”: Gould is a two-part series of comedic and melancholic snapshots of the titular character’s life. Dixon’s breathless prose flows as fast as thoughts across the mind (with breaks provided via enthusiastic use of the em-dash), and once you’re in its rhythm, the character’s words become your own. Dixon reads and signs at 7 p.m. at Olsson’s, 1200 F St. NW. FREE. (202) 347-3686. (Christopher Porter)
