Baby Jane Dexter has the blues, sister, and if you don’t like the way she sings ’em you can get the hell out of the bar. Intense, unapologetically raw, by turns blistering and tender, she doesn’t just sing, she connects—hits you in the gut with bitter tunes like “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” and “Damn Your Eyes,” then moves you to tears with “Something to Live For” and if you ask nicely, “More.” She’s in town with a recently released disc, Big, Bad & Blue—Live!, reviewed here in December; it’s recorded proof that if anything’s worth the drive to Annapolis, it’s Baby Jane. At 8 & 10 p.m. tonight and Saturday at the Maryland Inn’s King of France Tavern, 58 State Circle, Annapolis. $15. (410) 216-6340. (Trey Graham)
