Mosh-pit zealots grumble when well-meaning harDCore stars implore their audience not to stage-dive, but it turns out the implorers have a point: WMUC DJ Young Choe leaped off the stage at the Black Cat, hit his head on the floor, and burst a blood vessel that affected his brain. The University of Maryland student is recovering surprisingly well, but he has another problem: no health insurance. Tonight’s “Benefit for Young Choe” will try to ease his family’s financial burden. Frodus, Longshot, Late Bloomer, Crispus Attucks, Crew Jones, and Driveshaft will perform.
