While it is Glenn Dixon’s job to write as he pleases about art shows, I find it unprofessional that Washington City Paper’s editor allows his Beneath Contempt column to be used to hurl personal insults. I have never met Dixon, and although he has read and rejected my writing (5/9), this does not give him an excuse or reason to insult me personally simply because he does not like an art show I have selected. I refuse to lower myself to his level and trade insults; however, I hope that City Paper’s editor restrains Dixon’s future criticism to the art.

P.S. I changed my mind—if I ever run into him I’m gonna kick his pimply, naive, geeky, virginal ass.
