Daydreaming plays a crucial part of my life. In grade school my fantasies consisted mainly of a rendezvous with a Happy Meal under the monkey bars, but I’ve since graduated to slightly pornographic thoughts of the luscious guy in the neighboring cubicle at my office. Zoning out for a few minutes every hour used to cause me a great deal of guilt, but since reading The Book of Dreams and Visions I have found a reason to celebrate. Author Morgan Simone Daleo encourages her readers to have faith in their wondrous mirages. Enough positive (but realistic) thinking, she claims, will bring your desires to fruition. I’m gonna be a happy woman, with her eyes closed, when Daleo leads her “Dreams and Visions Journal Workshop” at 4 p.m. at Lammas, 1426 21st St. NW. FREE. (202) 775-8218. (Deborah Rouse)
