It’s logical, I suppose, that the four-track rebellion would generate at least one unbearable sap for each crafty visionary. The best that can be said of Kowtow Popof, a songwriter from Rockville, is that he does his part to balance out the field. While there’s got to be a place in the world for a heartsick lover who sings like Bryan Adams, even one whose songs pale in comparison, it’s still enough to make you long for another band trying to be Fugazi.
