THURSDAY
From Rio, one of the unruliest of the world’s new megacities, comes Murilo Salles’ Como Nascem os Anjos (How Angels Are Born), a brutal tale of class conflict. Three guys escape from their impoverished neighborhood to an upscale suburb, where the simple desire to use a businessman’s bathroom soon leads to a hostage situation. With guns in their hands, the kids flaunt their power, ultimately proving to be as cruel as their oppressors. The film shows at 8 p.m. tonight and Friday at the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden’s Ring Auditorium, 7th & Independence Ave. SW. FREE. (202) 357-2700. (MJ)
