The Hirshhorn’s contribution to the “Art Night on the Mall” series pairs a lecture (at 7:15 p.m.) on one of the artworks in the museum’s current show, “The Hirshhorn Collects: Recent Acquisitions, 1992-1996,” with an Amerindie or foreign film (at 8 p.m.) on a related topic. Tonight’s combination is Fifi, a 1973 canvas by Ed Paschke, and Wigstock, a 1995 account of the New York cross-dressing conclave. The film shows at the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden’s Ring Auditorium, 7th & Independence Ave. SW. FREE. (202) 357-2700. (Mark Jenkins)
