“And we talk in circles but we never say/It’s just out of weakness that both of us stay.” Lyle Lovett claims that The Road to Ensenada was not an exorcism of his relationship with Julia Roberts. Turkey, please. One-performance wonder Roberts, with her ratty hair extensions, was never good enough for a man as talented as Lyle. I saw Lovett and his Large Band dazzle the audience in Clearwater, Fla., just days before his marriage to the starlet. I screamed, “Lyle baby, marry me!” Perhaps he misunderstood. I meant me, not “Fiona” (his petname for Roberts). I even saw snapshots of the weddingin person, not in People. They looked very happy, but she could have worn shoes. Her toes looked like french fries. Even so, the offer stands. With Robert Earl Keen at 8 p.m. at Wolf Trap Filene Center, 1624 Trap Rd., Vienna. $18-28. (703) 255-6500. (Ginger Eckert)
