The District’s political establishment might have chosen Arrington Dixon as the anointed candidate for the at-large D.C. Council special election, but that does not mean we have to vote for him. Loose Lips got it right (11/21) when he wrote that the Democratic State Party is to blame for recycling incompetent politicians and keeping fresh faces out of elected posts. He is also correct to characterize Dixon as being “devoid of energy and ideas for reviving the city.” But D.C. voters have an opportunity to vote for a fresh face and responsible leadership by casting their vote for David Catania on Dec. 2.
