Perry Miller Adato’s Eugene O’Neill: A Glory of Ghosts is a cinematic study of the prolific, tormented, and Nobel Prize-winning American playwright. Her documentary mixes real-life and onstage drama: Interviews with actors and O’Neill acquaintances balance scenes from eight of the playwright’s autobiographical plays performed by such actors as Jason Robards and Blythe Danner. The director, whose other films include examinations of Picasso, Gertrude Stein, and Dylan Thomas, will attend to discuss her film. At 10 a.m. at the Museum of American History’s Carmichael Auditorium, 14th & Constitution Ave. NW. $20. For reservations call (202) 357-3030. (Mark Jenkins)
