Thanks to Jake Tapper for writing what was probably the first three-dimensional piece about former White House intern Monica Lewinsky (“I Dated Monica Lewinsky,” 1/30). It was refreshing to see thoughtful journalism in a month that elevated Matt Drudge to the level of I.F. Stone. But one point, Jake: Don’t feel so bad about Monica and her future. Remember, this is a person who lived in the Watergate while working for free, and this is a country that is willing to take lectures about morality on the Internet from the former Miss Donna Rice.
