They may or may not have relocated to Boston (as advertised), but Kansans Panel Donor continue in the tradition of the Midwestern rock established by groups such as the Poster Children, the Embarrassment, and Zoom and maintained by bands with names like the Regrets, Opium Taylor, and Sarge. Towns like Lawrence and Champaign have a way of producing these sounds: quirky yet powerful stuff that’s nurtured by insular and eclectic scenes, the six- or seven-year graduation plan, cheap rent, and coffee. Panel Donor’s noise is well honed and delivered with spastic energy—the kind that makes you wonder if there’s something fundamentally wrong with living in the middle of the country. If we’re lucky, these corn-fed freaks will throw a fit. With 60 Acres and Larry Hoffman at 9 p.m. at Galaxy Hut,
