St. Elmo Hall Fraternity Club at the University of Virginia has been playing organized kickball since 1994. Not only has Elmo resurrected the memory of Ron T. Colts, but it has sponsored a university-wide tournament, raising money for the Hope House in Charlottesville, Va., to the tune of over $25,000 in ’98. Maybe the rookies in NoVa (“Like a Red Rubber Ball,” 5/29) could do something more productive when they learn how to kick a “backslap fromunda” or pitch a “crucial taint” for a good cause.
