Nothing evokes the earnestness of World War II-era America better than the propaganda movies in the National Archives’s collection. Today’s hourlong program, “Any Bonds Today?”, includes four short films designed to persuade home-fronters to put their spare cash into war bonds. At noon at the National Archives Theater, 7th & Constitution Ave. NW. Free. (202) 501-5000. (Mark Jenkins)
