This evening’s “Art Night on the Mall” features music, too: On the steps of the Freer, drum ensemble Hanulsori will perform in a style derived from the traditional percussion of the Korean wandering minstrels, called namsadang. Simultaneously, around the corner in the lobby of the Museum of African Art, Hassan Gure will play the oud, a venerable lutelike Arabic instrument used throughout Northern Africa, in the Somalian style. At 6:30 p.m. at the Freer Gallery, 12th & Jefferson Drive. SW. (202) 357-3200; and the National Museum of African Art, 950 Independence Ave. SW. Free. (202) 357-4600. (MJ)
