SATURDAY

A ’90s ? and the Mysterians with a vague situationist—or should that be “gospel yeh-yeh”?—agenda, the Make-Up never quite muster a message that can upstage the band’s energetic schtick. Still, the quartet regularly plays benefits for which Positive Force D.C. helpfully provides lucid slogans: Tonight’s is “No human being is illegal,” for a concert that benefits the planned Oct. 14 National Day of Action Against the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Also performing are Estrojet, Stigmatics, and Deep Lust. At 7 p.m. at Sanctuary Theatre, 1459 Columbia Road NW. $5. (703) 276-9768. (Mark Jenkins)
