Brett Anderson’s Young & Hungry column (“Table Manners,” 9/25) convinces me that chef Carole Greenwood and restaurant critic Phyllis Richman deserve each other, although I’m inclined to side with Richman. “‘You’ve got to eat it this way’”? No,
I don’t.
As for Anderson and his evident garlic fetish, the solution is simple: Chop off the top of a head of garlic, place in a small baking dish and drizzle with oil (salt, pepper, and herbs optional), cover with foil, and bake for 45-55 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with crusty bread, and skip the restaurant hassles.
