I wholeheartedly agree with Michael Schaffer’s pick of Clifton and 13th Streets (“Private Monuments,” 11/13). There is something awe-inspiring about the view, particularly at dusk when all the marble is tinged pink and a purple glow hides the sharpest edges.

I was unaware, however, that two of these views existed. Mine happens to be at Clifton and 13th NW. (The picture agrees with me.) Maybe I will check out the sights at Clifton and 13th SE. I think I will just be disappointed, though.
