There’s still time to nominate local icons for Best of D.C.
I have always enjoyed Joel Siegel’s movie reviews and am extremely glad that after his hiatus he is back to writing sometimes scathing, yet always intelligent critiques. After his review of Celebrity (“Double Manhattan,” 11/20), I have an even deeper appreciation for him. I have often felt like the lone voice in the wilderness regarding Woody Allen. As far as I am concerned, he is the perfect model for the next Vodka ad: “Absolut Pervert.” So it was very gratifying to read a review of one of Woody Allen’s films that had the guts not to ignore the type of person who made it.
I also know that I do not need to see Celebrity to know what it is aboutactors willing to do anything for fame including being in a movie directed by a depraved lech.
