I’d like to correct some errors that appeared in Thursday’s City Paper. Your City Desk column (12/11) referred to me as the host of the upcoming “Crack House and Alley Tour.” This is incorrect.

I am not the host of the tour, and I did not tell the reporter that I was. Here is exactly what I told him: I told him that my role in the affair was to refer reporters to the group of people running the tour—Jim Myers, Beth Purcell, Brian O’Grady, and two or three others. He never phoned Myers, Purcell, O’Grady, or the other people I mentioned.

I believe the reporter was in a hurry to write his article and didn’t have time to contact the people I mentioned—and this led to his mistakes in the column. I hope you will print this piece to set the record straight.
