You certainly are to be congratulated for reprinting Mayor Williams’ sensitivity memo (“Take a Memo,” 1/29). I am concerned, however, that it was not completely thought out. Surely, the Mayor cannot mean that he wants city-employed landscapers to use “hoes.” I think this clearly denigrates the working women of the District, who, after all, put in those long hours in all kinds of weather along L Street and environs.
