Even in indie-rock, there is an equal and opposite reaction for every action. Tonight, local darlings the Rondelles face their antithesis: German raunch rockers the Golden Showers. The former follow the aesthetic trajectory set forth by New Wavers and lo-fi pop bands, singing about crushes and youthful travails. The latter wallow deep in the depraved surf rock dredged up by bands like the Cramps, speaking the unspeakable on songs like “Rock Around the Barnyard,” “All Over the Floor,” and “Ten Ways to Delight the Nazi Virgin Hater.” The Golden Showers are as offensive as the Rondelles are charming, and while both bands are worth investigating, I must advise strongly against conducting a comparative Internet keyword search. At 8:30 p.m. at the Black Cat, 1831 14th St. NW. $5. (202) 667-7960. (CB)
