I just need to tell you that I find the title of your article (Young & Hungry, “Reverse French Colonial,” 4/16) very offensive. If the restaurant were 100 percent Laotian-owned, then your title would perhaps apply. But Saveur is not. (It’s 50 percent French, 50 percent Laotian.) Keo and I have owned Le Paradis and La Provence, and I don’t think we opened only French restaurants to get revenge on colonization.
