Atlanta quartet the Lost Continentals offers a rootsier variation on the neoswing sound currently sweeping the nation. On Moonshine & Martinis, the group’s aptly titled debut CD, it serves up a country-inflected blend of pre-rock ‘n’ roll jazz, swing, and blues. “Sway,” with its background accordion, even hints tantalizingly at the romantic and exotic tango. And versatile lead vocalist Amy Pike delivers everything from a soft, alluring croon (on “I Miss You”) to a sexy wail (on “You May” and “Please, Please”). The disc also includes a rousing hymn to the politically incorrect pleasures of “Swanky Bars and Fine Cigars,” so expect hedonistic lounge lizards and hep cats to gather at 8:30 p.m. at Lewie’s, 6845 Reed St., Bethesda. $8. (301) 652-1600. (Ken Roseman)
