Some hard-hitting new scholarship from a D.C. campus: “American University Study Reveals Unethical Practices Sometimes Occur in the Political Consulting Business,” reports a press release issued last week by the university’s Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies. The study, funded by a three-year grant from Pew Charitable Trusts, also uncovered the shocking fact that “a majority of political consultants admit helping a candidate they were later sorry to see serve in office.”
