I’m a faithful reader of the Washington City Paper and forgive long, boring pieces like the one about Ruth Shalit (“Goodbye to All That,” 4/9), about whom no one could possibly care and who has no relevance to D.C.

I don’t forgive you last week’s cover, which is so mean and racist that I can’t imagine what went through the mind of artist or editor. I haven’t read the article (“The Big Choke,” 7/2), because the crude attempt at caricature was so offensive that I wouldn’t trust a word in it!
