Officially speechless in the House, D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton never misses an opportunity to link a news event to the District. Norton even found fodder in the John F. Kennedy Jr. tragedy: “The people of the nation’s capital will especially miss John F. Kennedy Jr.,” Norton said in an official statement issued last Monday. “D.C. residents fondly remember ‘John John’ because not only his father, but his family did so much to change this city from a small time southern town to the cosmopolitan city we have become.”
