“My So-Called Stalker” (10/8) was the most compelling piece written in the D.C. press this year. My only regret was that you used a pseudonym for “Detective Biggs” instead of shining a bright light on this doughnut-eating clock-puncher. As someone involved in combating the stalking phenomenon for six years, I can’t resist offering this piece of advice: “Theresa” should bring a civil action against “Ron”‘s father, the physician who signed off on releasing Ron from getting the clinical care he so desperately needs. Unfortunately, in a city where the cops and the legal system apparently don’t care, only the threat of financial penalty seems to get anyone’s attention.
