KenCen Abridged Last Saturday night, performing-arts aficionados clicking on to the Kennedy Center’s Web site, www.kennedy-center.org, found this text instead of the center’s home page: “[hacker]: Originally, a person who chops furniture with an axe. Intrinsically good coder. Also a person who manipulates and compromises security on other systems….This is what happens when you hire an administrator that doesn’t know his head from his ass. I suggest you fire your administrator.” The highfaluting hacker left a trail of random thoughts including the following ending: “this hack’s dedicated to kim. i love you seckzy.” “It was up for 12 hours, and it was fixed Sunday morning,” says Kennedy Center spokesperson Tiki Davies.
