David Carr misrepresents the Naomi Wolf controversy (Paper Trail, 11/12). He’s right that the press is spending too much time discussing Wolf’s colorful background. But the fact remains that the Gore campaign is spending a colossal amount of money on a consultant who’s offering dubious advice. The campaign also tried to cover up the contract. As long as journalists focus on the contract and not on Wolf, they ought to pursue this story.
