Tonight, the MCI Center will be crammed with both TLC fans and rumor hogs sniffing around for even the slightest whiff of dissension. You’ve heard the whispers and read the trades: T-Boz, Left Eye, and Chilli ain’t gettin’ along. Well, maybe, but so what? When I caught the TLC show in Baltimore a couple of months ago, the only perceptible tension emanated from my date—as she realized I couldn’t pull my attention away from the gorgeous threesome for even a second. Tonight’s show is chock-full of eye candy, also featuring Destiny’s Child and its riveting lead singer, Beyonce Knowles, and—for those who favor lighter fare and fairer skin—teen sensation Christina Aguilera. Who cares if the TLC girls can’t play nice together? They look great either way. I say, let ’em break up and make separate albums—that means more delicious cover art for the rest of us.
