How could anyone not be depressed, after reading “Looking for Mr. Goodman” (3/17), regarding the pathetic state of affairs of the “kosher meet market?” Are Jewish singles that desperate that they continue to attend these events knowing they will never find the perfect soul mate there? Let’s hope that we can somehow manage to get past the negative undertones of these singles events and connect with other Jewish singles on a constructive level. Let’s also hope we can all get past our “checklists” of what we think we want in the opposite sex. Just think: If we went to these events with open minds, we could make real friends and maybe even surprising and significant discoveries about our long-lost Jewish heritage and culture.
