There’s still time to nominate local icons for Best of D.C.
You don’t have to be a staunch conservative to find the tone of your article (“Reasonable Doubts,” 3/31) unfair and offensive. You make sweeping judgments of the police force, making no mention of the efforts to improve relations between police officers and minority citizens. Unfortunately, there are too many people who would rather revel in a self-image as a victim than see things change for the better. They direct their energy toward slandering another group in the name of justice. One day, you will have a negative confrontation with the police, a white person, or someone in authority—you are obviously looking for one!
Please quit pointing your finger at the Man. You need to give your attitude some serious reflection. And if you want to take up a cause, find one that does not make an enemy out of a specific group of people.
