Success! You're on the list.

The family of the deceased Marvin L. Minter would like to commend your staff, and especially Robin Bingham, in the writing of the feature story “Resurrection” (6/30).

This story provided a detailed descriptive account of Marvin’s life and closure for his family. Bingham’s professionalism and sensitivity to the family needs were well-received. Her persistent investigation in the reconstruction of Marvin’s life is beyond reproach; her efforts in locating Marvin’s family, and in interviewing family members and other people who knew him, to say nothing of driving alone the nine hours to Rochester to acquire information regarding his life, are commendable. We can honestly say that Bingham’s investigative work did not leave a stone unturned. Her story will always be a chronicle for us to look back at and cherish the memories of him.

We hope that other parents will be able to see the unique problems that we were faced with in dealing with Marvin and know that they are not alone. We love him very much, and we know his suffering is over. He is in a better place. We thank you, your staff, and most of all our dear friend Ms. Robin Bingham.

May God bless you all.
