Your July 14 “Tow Jam” article was on my mind on the afternoon of Aug. 1, when my car quit on the rush-hour Beltway. Latham’s Towing rolled up within 10 minutes. The driver, Larry, was courteous, kind, and helpful. His rates were posted on the dash of his truck, and they were spelled out clearly on the work order. I paid $75 for the hookup and $16 for mileage to my home. I’m very pleased with Latham’s service. The company’s motto is “There When You Need Us.” They were, and they did well by me.

Considering the slam they took in your lead article, I hope you publish this note. I would be glad to see Latham’s roll up to help me anytime.
