SunTrust Bank, Cathedral Heights branch, Sept. 22, approximately 9:05 a.m.: A woman carrying a baby stands at a teller, while an elderly woman wearing tennis shoes conducts business a few feet away. “So, what you got there?” the older customer asks. “It’s a boy,” the younger woman responds. “So,” the grandmotherly inquisitor follows up, “he’s got a little prick, huh? Little, little prick. Prick, prick, prick.” “Yes,” demurs the woman with the baby, “but I don’t like hearing that.” She turns back to her teller. “Prick, prick, prick,” continues the older woman, using her thumb and forefinger to elaborate. —Darrow Montgomery
