Mark W. Sullivan’s assertion that Chuck Berry and Arthur Alexander were the only recording artists covered by both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones is inaccurate (CityList, 12/1). Both groups also covered songs by Buddy Holly and Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. The Beatles took on Holly’s “Words of Love” and the Miracles’ “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me”; the Stones covered Holly’s “Not Fade Away” and the Miracles’ “Going to a Go-Go.”
