In a footnote to his Feb. 19 column about Bill Clinton’s lingering headline sway, Washington Post media critic Howard Kurtz notes that Marc Rich attorney Jack Quinn is “crying foul” over television footage of Rich’s ex-wife, Denise Rich, presenting Clinton with a saxophone. Because the image accompanies voice-overs about Denise Rich’s political contributions, viewers might conclude that Rich gave the instrument to Clinton at a Democratic fundraiser. But Kurtz explains that the event in question was actually a charity ball for cancer research.
