FRIDAY
While quicksilver tides of revisionism have swept Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band from its perch atop the pop pinnacle (replacing itfor nowwith Revolver or, perhaps, Rubber Soul), the album remains an important musical touchstone, a work rarely encountered in full outside of your headphones. To rectify this lack, the Invasion, D.C.’s premier Beatles tribute band, will perform the entire production. From beginning to end. In order. In costume. Three words: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Says Ringo ringer George Dietrich, “If this goes over, we’re gonna do each Beatles album in [its] entirety, in costume, from Meet the Beatles to Abbey Road.” Legends are built on such bold dreams. Opening for the faux Fabs will be Accidental Charm, a similarly peppy pop outfit that includes two Invasion members. Let’s hear it for Rob, Bart, George, and Tom at 10 p.m. at Whitlow’s on Wilson, 2854 Wilson Blvd., Arlington. $5. (703) 276-9693. (Dave Nuttycombe)
