THURSDAY

In this corner, weighing in with their post-feminist and massively entertaining crotch rock, smoking cheeba and doing shots (they did just come of age, after all, as their new Lookout record, The Donnas Turn 21, trumpets proudly): the Donnas. And, in the other corner, the reigning champs of the riot-wymmmn division, just off hiatus and newly resurgent: Bratmobile. Washington City Paper wags have already touted this violent clash of styles as a “Meeting in the Ladies’ Room” or a “Black Cat Fight,” but sizing up a probable victor is difficult. The Donnas have a penchant for hitting below the belt; Bratmobile prefers the blow to the head. Selby Tigers open up and referee. Let’s get it on! At 8:30 p.m. at the Black Cat, 1831 14th St. NW. $10. (202) 667-7960. (Richard Byrne)
