Memories…light the corners of my mind. Misty, watercolored memories—also bit-mapped and 72 dpi—of the way she was. She, of course is La Streisand, and the memories may be found first at barbralover.com, Matthew McCaffery’s online tribute to Miss Barbra Streisand—the woman he considers one of the greatest stars of the past century. Who would disagree? Since Babs claims to have retired from live concerts, McCaffery’s Web site may remain one of the few places to turn to. But such a talent must be experienced in person, not at 56K or even DSL, so McCaffery has arranged an exhibition of his Streisand artwork collection. It’s called “Legend of the Century,” and it spans Miss Diva’s entire career. The hallowed artifacts will be on view from 7:30 a.m. to 4 a.m. at Soho Tea & Coffee, 2150 P St. NW. Free. (202) 463-7646.
