This letter is written to Sean Daly, Janet hater to the 10th power (“Bad Penny,” 4/27). Look, I know we all want to remember Janet as cute little Penny from Good Times, but that was then; this is now. She is (dare I say it?) a grown fucking almost-35-year-old woman, dammit! Let her grow up.

Sure, the new album is a little too much for her 13-year-old fans—I even think she should have put an explicit lyric advisory on it—but to compare her to Lil’ Kim—she’s gross. Even with all the fake orgasms and cussing, Janet is still very much a lady, and—to correct you—the CD has many clean, potential No. 1 hits, such as “Feels So Right,” “Come On Get Up” (granted, your virgin ears would have to stand the word “ass”), and the next single, “Someone to Call My Lover.”

Dag, did you even listen to the album? If you did, your ears must have been AWOL that day. Oh, and by the way, her tickets sold out in 40 minutes.
