I want to thank you so very much for your piece on the Mount Pleasant tot-lot debacle (“Slide Show,” 8/10). It only makes me feel so much better about my decision a year ago to leave Mount Pleasant to the NIMBYites and “I’m more ethnic than thou” residents who made Mount Pleasant a very unpleasant place to live.

The tot lot is just one in a series of arguments and petty spats the neighborhood has encountered and will encounter in the future. Just read a few issues of the Mount Pleasant e-mail forum and you’ll see what I mean.
